4A Molecular Sieve Mesh, Beaded

CHEMICAL FORMULA Na12[(AlO2)12(SiO2)12] • nH2O

mSORB 4A molecular sieve is an alkali alumino-silicate in the spherical form. It is the sodium form of the Type A crystal structure with pore diameters of approximately 4 angstroms. The 4Å molecular sieve will adsorb molecules such as oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and straight chain hydrocarbons. Aromatics and branched chain hydrocarbons will not be adsorbed.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS As a desiccant in air dryers, packaging of pharmaceuticals, perishable chemicals and electronics; removing CO2 from gas and air streams; purification of various gas streams and liquids; water scavenger in paint and plastic systems; commercial drying of saturated hydrocarbons.

PACKAGING INFORMATION Available in 55 lb (25 kg) drums, 330 lb (150kg) drums, and super-sacks filled to order specification.

HANDLING & STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS Store in a dry location to prevent unintentional water adsorption. Reseal packages after opening to prevent contamination and unintended water adsorption. We recommend that you rotate stock so oldest material is used first.
