DelSORB Activated Alumina

Revised 2015

DelSORB® AA116B, AA18B, AA316B, AA14B Activated Alumina, 1/16″, 1/8″, 3/16″, 1/4″

CHEMICAL FORMULA Al2O3 • nH2O

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
DelSORB® activated alumina is a synthetically produced aluminum oxide in a smooth spherical form with a high crush strength. It is highly porous and can have a surface area greater than 300 m2/g. It is an excellent desiccant for liquids and gases and can achieve dew points from -40°F to -100˚F depending on the operating conditions and the design of the dryer. Activated Alumina will adsorb all molecules to some degree but will preferentially adsorb the molecules with the highest polarity.

HANDLING & STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS
Store DelSORB® activated alumina in a dry location to prevent premature water adsorption. Reseal packages after opening to prevent contamination and unintended water adsorption. We recommend that you rotate stock so oldest material is used first.
